  • What is AI-based algorithms?
    An algorithm is something that solves a problem instead of following a certain set of programmes or actions using a logic. We use something called 'model-based learning' to allow the algorithm to learn, find and build assumptions from datasets. This allows our AI to make better decisions than humans because it can consider multiple factors into account while performing a task. Our algorithms are not programmed to perform a task but is programmed to learn to perform the task in hand. Our algorithm can create an image-based post, write a suitable caption for it, find relevant hashtags and post it on Instagram on a daily basis at the appropriate time based on the ranking factors to grab attention from users/customers around your target market Our algorithm can comment on posts from other users and engage with their content by “reading” the image and captions posted by the user in real-time with the help of 'machine vision' similar to computer vision by facebook and mimic human-like interactions.   • Which are the ranking factors?
    As explained by Instagram itself, it relies on machine learning to analyse and create a unique feed for its users. Hence, even if a user follows the exact accounts as someone else, their respective feeds will be personalized on the basis of how they interact with those accounts over a period of time. There are three main factors that influence the feed of a user: How much Instagram predicts a user is interested in a post, and with higher ranking for what matters to them, determined by past behaviour on similar content and potentially computer vision analyzing the actual content of the post. Relationship of the user to the person who shared it, and with higher ranking for accounts the user has interacted with a lot in the past, such as by commenting on their posts or being tagged together in photos. How recently the post was shared, with prioritization for timely posts over weeks-old ones. More recent posts will be favored and pushed to the top of the feed, while older posts will show up a little further down. Apart from this, three additional signals influence user interest: How long a user spends on Instagram determines if they are just seeing the best posts during short sessions, or is digging deeper into the catalog, if they spend more time browsing the platform. How often a user opens Instagram also matters, as it will try to show the best posts since their last visit. Instagram also notifies users, if they are all caught up! If the user follows count is high, Instagram will be picking from a wider breadth of authors so that the user might see less of any specific account. Business accounts on Instagram are not immediately at a disadvantage in terms of organic reach.
  • What is an engagement rate?
    Instagram algorithm ranks users on the basis of their engagement rate, we typically see a higher engagement rate for profiles which are active, relevant and engaging with the platform on a daily and timely basis. This type of activities may include the following actions: Posting regularly and engaging with similar accounts in your niche on a daily basis Liking and engaging with posts from other users of the platform and those from your community to keep a two way communication channel. Direct Commenting and replying to comments from other users of the platform and following their activity to build more engagement within. Grab the attention of people who regularly comment and like your competitors post and respond to their stories, or interact with any relevant users. Post stories with a call to action button or push events like quiz, poll, etc. Reverting back to users who have sent you a DM as soon as possible. An engagement rate of 1% and 3% is generally good, it is the average we see on an influencer’s profile. 5% or more represents very high engagement. The trick is to maintain a high engagement rate over a prolonged period of time. Therefore, your content strategy should be optimised accordingly. And it is very important for the algorithm to run continuously on your profile without any breaks irrespective of the general marketing action required on the profile. Moreover, the machine learning protocol will suggest better performance of posts and make space for more activities as your profile grows. This is why we typically engage with clients who are new to Instagram over clients with established presence. We strictly avoid profiles spiked with fake followers and engagements, since they have very low engagement rates.
